It’s time for a change my loves. As of tomorrow @thebeautyofyoga will become @haleyblackmanyoga and @thebeautyofyogashop will in turn become @thebeautyofyoga Change is often a thing that people are fearful of and I’ll be honest, the change I’m about to make is a little scary because I’ve built up my IG account on the name I currently use and I think ‘oh shit, what if people can’t find me anymore?!’ but it’s time for the business to take this name and for me to build my career under my own name. I’m not going anywhere, I’ll still be posting! I will just be @haleyblackmanyoga from now on! Love you all ॐ (at www.haleyblackman.com)

I can’t express my gratitude enough for the love & support you have given me since the beginning of my IG journey, including those of you who have given your time & energy to #empoweredyogis over the past few months. I started the challenge because I wanted to help people; the exact same reason why I became a yoga teacher, reiki master, life coach etc. - my life purpose is centred on empowering & assisting the healing process of other souls but over the past couple of months I’ve been feeling uneasy about the whole yoga challenge thing & have questioned my intentions & motives for running one. What am I, or those who take part, really gaining from it? Like @stephynow said - I can’t be there to assist or breathe with you, there’s no spiritual interaction; no exchange of energy; I can’t hold space for you. Running challenges are hard work & they have left me feeling depleted & actually resenting IG because I ‘have’ to post. This is why I disappear after because I just need a break. I’ve gained loads of followers which I’m so thankful for, but for what reason? Because you ‘had’ to follow me in order to take part in the challenge. Ego check. I want you to follow me because you see something in the picture or read something in the words that resonates in your soul & inspires you, not because you ‘have’ to. I’ve decided I will not be hosting any more challenges. My connection to source & my practice are my priority moving forward. It’s through these I can be the most authentic version of me. I will still continue to post photos of my journey as I know that my yoga starts every day way before I get on the mat & is certainly not limited to what you see in the little box on the screen. These ‘Yoga Selfies’ are helping me to learn to love my body; something which I’ve made no secret that I struggle with. IG gives me a creative outlet for self expression therefore empowering myself in the process. Those that feel the need to comment on this are speaking directly from their ego (fear, envy, judgment) not from a place of love. We practice to seek union with Source & therefore one another. Yoga is about peace, joy, union, enlightenment, understanding & love. Om shanti ॐ (at www.haleyblackman.com)
